The Silent Sister by Diane Chamberlain

Oh boy!! This is a great book. It takes you on quite a ride. You sometimes think the book is easy to predict.... then things change your mind. This book was written very well, I think. It was easy to read yet easy to put down. Sometimes you are completely angry at people and it is easy to put down . Sometimes you are so wrapped up in it you can't put it down. I started reading at 9:00 this morning and couldn't put it down until I finished!! I am still in my pajamas at noon due to this book!! If you read the back you have a sense of what is to happen and so, you read to figure out how it she is going to have this come about. Then once you get to that part of the book you keep reading to see how it all fits together. It is kind of shocking how it all comes together. It grips your heart and makes you think "what would I do if in that position". You feel so hurt for the characters. You fall in love with most characters. I admit I feel a little unsettled about what happened to some characters that played a very important role in the beginning and middle of book but was not really mentioned in the end. The book is written in 3 parts. A couple chapters into part three is when you can't put it down. If at all, you ever thought your life was a mess, this book may make you feel differently. I have never read anything by Diane Chamberlain but I may pick up something else of hers to read to see if they are just as good. I am really not sure how to categorize this book, mystery I think, yet a thriller, suspenseful, and mind-boggling. It was a great summer read. This a definitely a beach read or sit by the pool read, In my case it was more a rainy day kind of read.

Warning: I feel if I give away warning of topics or situations I will give away important pieces of the story. I don't want to be the blogger that is saying "spoiler alert" cause that irritates me! So know there are some controversial topics in it but I don't think any that will offend anyone or make them feel bad.

Rating: I give this book 5 stars on a scale of 1-5!
